Brennan, Clark et Shaver (1998) ont developpe une mesure nommee « Experiences in Close Relationships » (ECR) a partir de l'ensemble des questionnaires existants de l'attachement adulte. Le present article traitede la traduction en langue francaise de l'instrument et propose deux etudes de validation de ce dernier realisees aupres d'adultes (N = 329) et de couples (N = 316) francophones. La premiere etude consiste a verifier la validite factorielle exploratoire et confirmatoire de la version francophone du ECR. L'analyse exploratoire demontre que 18 items mesurent la dimension evitement et 18 items mesurent la dimension anxiete. Les resultats d'analyses factorielles confirmatoires demontrent la valeur d'un modele a deux paliers. Ce dernier comporte huit composantes de premier ordre de l'attachement amoureux qui sont reliees a deux dimensions de second ordre, c'est-a-dire l'evitement des rapports intimes et l'anxiete face a l'abandon. La seconde etude permet de contre valider cette structure en deux paliers aupres de couples.
