Abstract
RÉSUMÉ La circulation des enfants pauvres au Brésil Une pratique locale dans un monde globalisé Cet article propose de réfléchir sur la circulation d'enfants dans les quartiers populaires d'une grande ville brésilienne, en la situant dans un contexte plus large qui inclut l'adoption nationale et internationale. Je débute par la description ethnographique des réseaux d'entraide et des valeurs familiales de deux femmes très pauvres qui ont donné un de leurs enfants à quelqu'un d'autre. J'interroge ensuite la place de l'adoption dans l'expérience de vie de ces femmes, en cherchant à comprendre jusqu'à quel point l'adoption légale coïncide avec leur propre point de vue sur cène transaction. Enfin, à la lumière de ces données ethnographiques sur des " donneurs d'enfants ". je discute brièvement de certains discours tenus en Amérique du Nord et en Europe sur l'adoption internationale.
