Abstract
Cet article traite du devenir professionnel des jeunes qui quittent le cycle secondaire long sans qualification dans une ville du Zaïre. Partant de la présomption que certaines caractéristiques du marché du travail dans les pays en développement influent sur les possibilités d’une égale probabilité d’emploi entre diplômés et décrocheurs, l’étude tente de cerner si l’abandon scolaire au cycle secondaire long constitue un gaspillage économique.
