Abstract
Recently we reported a study of the thermodynamics of methanesulfonic acid and some of its derivatives. The foundation of these results was a measurement of the heat of reaction of S-methyl thioacetate with aq sodium hypochlorite, leading to methanesulfonic acid. We have reinvestigated this reaction and discovered that contrary to the initial stoichiometry experiments, the stoichiometry under the reaction conditions is not as was believed and that the heat of reaction observed was spuriously high. We have found a new reaction, that of sulfite ion with methyl methanesulfonate, which does allow a clean determination of the heat of formation of methanesulfonic acid. Revised thermodynamic quantities for methanesulfonic acid, methanesulfonyl chloride, and methyl methanesulfonate are reported here.Key words: sulfonic acid, heat of reaction, free energy of formation, S N 2 reaction.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
