Abstract
À Vatican II, les médias représentent un nouvel acteur du jeu conciliaire. Après un moment d’hésitation au cours de la période préparatoire, l’épiscopat canadien prend plusieurs initiatives pour associer les médias à l’activité conciliaire, assurant ainsi des relais efficaces pour diffuser au Canada les travaux en cours à Rome. Le présent article rend compte de ce passage et retrace les diverses initiatives de l’épiscopat canadien pour assurer la diffusion de Vatican II au Canada. En conclusion, l’auteur suggère les évolutions réalisées par l’épiscopat canadien au sujet de la conception même des médias et de leur rapport à l’Église.
