Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Among the 18 supposed slow mode transition (SMT) cases identified by Song et al. [1990 , 1992] , Hubert and Samsonov [2004 , see section 3] concluded that ten cases needed to be rejected. From the remaining eight candidates for SMT events, it was shown that temporal variations of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) play a key role in the origin and nature of the density enhancement in the supposed SMT. The exogenous origin of the supposed SMT was therefore established. Hubert and Samsonov [2004] explained how only two cases could be simulated. Song et al. (SRGTE hereafter) elected to dispute three of the eight cases which have been analyzed in great detail by Hubert and Samsonov [2004] and/or simulated in a three‐dimensional (3‐D) MHD model [ Samsonov and Hubert, 2004 ].

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
