Éléments d'une sémiologie anthropologique des troubles psychiques chez les Bambara, Soninké et Bwa du Mali Le recueil de récits de cas de personnes souffrant de troubles psychiques a permis de montrer que la sémiologie populaire (les marqueurs qui servent à déterminer la présence d'un problème) s'organise autour de quelques catégories clés qui varient selon l'ethnie et qui renvoient aux dynamiques relationnelles, aux valeurs culturelles, à la conception de la personne et à la vision du monde dominant dans le groupe culturel d'appartenance. L'analyse se centre sur une comparaison de l'importance relative des problèmes relationnels et des comportements d'isolement, des connotations particulières qui leur sont associées et de leur insertion dans une trame sémiologique et narrative, dans les ethnies bambara, soninké et bwa. Elle fait ressortir l'ancrage des sémiologies locales dans le contexte supranarratif que déterminent les cultures particulières et un processus d'organisation plus général. L'analyse procède suivant un va-et-vient entre l'articulation des récits et les configurations culturelles majeures qui leur servent de trame.
