Abstract
L’utilisation d’Internet est-elle associée à une ouverture aux pratiques culturelles ou à un confinement ? Les analyses menées par les auteurs révèlent que dans les différentes régions du Québec, l’âge, la scolarité et les usages culturels que l’on fait d’Internet prédisent une diversité et une intensité plus grandes des visites de lieux culturels et des sorties au spectacle. Les modèles de prédiction qui comprennent des variables sur Internet s’avèrent plus performants que ceux qui incluent uniquement des variables sociodémographiques, suggérant qu’Internet constitue une variable prédictive des pratiques culturelles.
