Abstract

Le but de cette étude est d’expliquer comment les futurs enseignants peuvent développer leur sentiment d’efficacité en enseignement et dans leur vie personnelle, grâce à un apprentissage expérientiel fondé sur l’acquisition et l’utilisation des stratégies cognitives, des stratégies métacognitives et du jugement métacognitif. Les 23 participants à cette étude étaient inscrits au baccalauréat en enseignement primaire et secondaire à l’Université Sainte-Anne, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Cette recherche exploratoire, de type qualitatif et quantitatif, se fonde sur la taxonomie de l’apprentissage expérientiel de Steinaker et Bell (1979) développée par Côté (1998). Les données retenues ont été recueillies à partir de rapports d’observation des étudiants, d’une entrevue semi-structurée et d’un questionnaire. Les résultats indiquent que les participants perçoivent une évolution du sentiment d’efficacité personnelle dans leurs apprentissages et leur enseignement auprès d’un élève en difficulté ainsi que dans leur vie personnelle.
