Abstract Organolithiumverbindungen werden oft als einkernige Spezies dargestellt. Tatsächlich lagern sich diese Verbindungen aber zusammen, wobei Heteroaggregate mit verschiedenen organischen Gruppen, auch solchen mit Heteroatomen, entstehen können. Bei Reaktionen mit Organolithiumreagentien wird oft nicht beachtet, dass sich das “reine” lithiumorganische Homoaggregat in ein Heteroaggregat mit abweichender Struktur und Reaktivität umwandeln kann. Wenn das Organolithiumreagens oder das Substrat chirale Zentren enthält, kann auch diastereoselektive Selbstorganisation auftreten (die bevorzugte Bildung eines bestimmten Aggregat‐Diastereomers). Die Auswirkungen dieses Verhaltens auf Struktur und Reaktivitätsmuster von Organolithiumreagentien ist das Thema diese Kurzaufsatzes.
