Abstract

Cet article s’intéresse à l’un des plus importants réseaux de télépathologie du monde. Le projet étudié vise notamment à améliorer l’accessibilité aux soins chirurgicaux dans les régions de l’est du Québec. Nos analyses s’appuient principalement sur des entrevues réalisées auprès d’acteurs clés et d’utilisateurs. Elles sont circonscrites autour des expériences des sept hôpitaux ayant signé les trois premières ententes de services en lien avec cet important projet. Nos résultats indiquent que l’objectif d’assurer des services d’examens extemporanés en tout temps au sein des établissements requérants a été atteint. Toutefois, plusieurs défis humains, organisationnels, normatifs et législatifs doivent faire l’objet de réflexions et d’interventions spécifiques afin que l’utilisation et les bénéfices de la télépathologie puissent s’étendre à l’ensemble des hôpitaux situés dans l’est du Québec.
