Abstract
Un nombre croissant d’entreprises modifient en totalité ou en partie leur processus de production afin de réduire l’impact négatif de leur activité sur l’environnement. Cette orientation en faveur de l’environnement est susceptible d’entraîner de nombreux atouts, quoiqu’elle requière de relever certains défis. L’objet de cet article est de définir l’écoconception, de traiter de ses atouts et de ses défis et de relever les conditions de succès des actions des entreprises dans ce domaine. Pour illustrer les facteurs de succès de l’écoconception des produits, nous nous appuyons sur cinq cas d’entreprises ayant réussi ou échoué lors de la mise sur le marché d’un produit écoconçu.
