L'pilogue de ce dialogue prtendment de Platon est presque identique celui du Premier Alcibiade: le jeune homme se met l'cole de Socrate. Il lui offre mme une couronne que Socrate interprte comme un prsage de sa victoire comme amant, tandis qu'au commencement du Premier Alcibiade il ne reste que Socrate pour tmoigner de l'amour au jeune homme l . Sans entrer dans la question de l'authenticit du Premier Alcibiade, on peut affirmer que le Second en copie la situation; il l'utilise en dissimulant son existence 2 Il s'agit donc certainement d'un pseudpigraphe postrieur.
