Abstract
Une nouvelle espèce de la famille des Elatinaceae, l’ Elatine ojibwayensis Garneau sp.nov., est décrite à partir de spécimens récoltés dans le nord du Quebec. Cette nouvelle espèce représente le seul Elatine à fleurs tétramères dans l’est de l’Amérique du Nord. Sa répartition connue est restreinte au centre du Quebec entre 50° 05′ N et 55° 11′ N, sur le versant québécois des baies de James et d’Hudson. Un traitement du genre Elatine au Quebec est présenté, incluant la description, la carte de répartition de chaque espèce, ainsi qu’une clef de détermination.
