Abstract
L’insolite est une catégorie esthétique pertinente pour appréhender l’effet d’étrangeté propre aux récits d’Henri Bosco, parmi lesquels figure l’énigmatique Sanglier (1932). La principale spécificité de l’insolite bosquien tient à son double ancrage dans l’histoire (la fiction) et dans la narration. Dans un premier temps, cette étude s’attache à repérer les indices d’une phénoménologie de l’insolite, au nombre desquels figurent l’émergence d’une foule de phénomènes inexpliqués, le sentiment d’une présence diffuse et l’expérience de l’extrême. Ces événements donnent lieu à des interprétations assumées par le narrateur. Leur analyse montre que l’intégration du discours dans le récit est l’un des ressorts de l’effet d’insolite, car les repères fournis au lecteur sont régulièrement remis en question. En outre, les modulations de la perspective et de la voix narrative concourent au brouillage de l’information. Dans ce récit à la facture apparemment classique, Bosco privilégie une écriture de l’énigme fondée sur le discontinu et l’indéterminé qui rejoint les préoccupations des romanciers contemporains.
