La société SOLATRAG emploie 240 personnes dans les secteurs de la voirie, du génie civil et de la métallerie dans la région du Languedoc-Roussillon, en France. Au fil des ans, ses effectifs de métallerie ont beaucoup diminué, ceux qui restaient ayant dans certains cas plus de 30 années d’ancienneté. Comme la métallerie nécessite un long apprentissage, la conservation de ces connaissances avant le départ des salariés âgés se posait de manière critique. Ce témoignage décrit les mesures que cette firme a prises pour valoriser le développement intergénérationnel. Elle a embauché des salariés âgés pour former de nouvelles recrues, instauré le tutorat des jeunes et formé à la gouvernance différentes générations. Le dynamisme et la pérennité de l’organisation ont ainsi pu être préservés.
