Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the thermal convection inside a spatially modulated domain. Design/methodology/approach The governing equations are mapped onto an infinite strip, allowing Fourier expansion of the flow and temperature in the streamwise direction. Findings Similar to Rayleigh‐Benard convection, conduction is lost to convection at a critical Rayleigh number, which depends strongly on both the modulation amplitude and the wavenumber. The effect of modulation is found to be destabilizing (stabilizing) for conduction for relatively large (small) modulation wavelength. Oscillatory convection sets in as the Rayleigh number is increased. Originality/value This paper presents novel results.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
