Abstract
La recrudescence des atteintes à la sécurité des journalistes lors du récent conflit irakien a ouvert un débat sur les conditions d’exercice de la profession en situation de conflit armé. Journalistes, chefs de rédaction et organisations professionnelles ont été amenés à examiner la nécessité de la présence journalistique dans les conflits, le niveau de danger que cette présence implique et les moyens appropriés pour le réduire. Cet article examine la question des risques du journalisme en temps de conflit en la resituant dans le cadre général de la société du risque tel que décrite par les sociologues Ulrich Beck et Anthony Giddens.
