Abstract
Soixante-dix villes historiques en évolution apparaissent sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Chacune fait ici l'objet d'une courte étude qui la situe dans le temps et l'espace, en identifie les principaux repères tout comme l'originalité historiques et en décrit les traits morphologiques urbains essentiels. Les critères justifiant l'inscription de ces villes, selon les recommandations du Comité international des monuments et des sites auprès du Comité du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, accompagnent les études.
