Abstract
Former geriatrician Corner Brook, Newfoundland (b Newcastle upon Tyne 1941; q Durham 1964; FCFPC), died from a brain haemorrhage on 24 August 2003. Peter Mowbray emigrated to Newfoundland in 1968, where he joined a practice in Corner Brook. He later specialised in geriatric medicine, joining the staff of Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook. For almost one third of his life he was dogged by the effects of brain haemorrhages. In 1995 he was forced to retire and later settled in Calgary close to his own and extended family. He leaves a wife, Eve; three children; and a grandchild.
