Abstract
L’informatisation des processus administratifs compte parmi les changements les plus importants au sein des administrations publiques contemporaines. Au Québec, ce processus est très avancé et notre article vise à en faire un bilan. Sur la base de 2,151 questionnaires complétés par les personnels de la fonction publique québécoise et de 98 entrevues réalisées dans 3 organismes québécois, nous pouvons conclure que l’informatique est perçue comme ayant contribué à une gestion plus efficace. La satisfaction, par ailleurs, varie en fonction du niveau hiérarchique, les hauts cadres se déclarant, règle générale, plus satisfaits que les fonctionnaires. Les cadres intermédiaires se situent entre les deux niveaux, se disant plus satisfaits que les fonctionnaires, mais exprimant plus souvent des réserves sur l’avenir d’une société informatisée.
