Abstract
Depuis les débuts du xxe siècle, il y a eu plusieurs prêtres et religieux/religieuses qui ont contribué à la propagation de la culture populaire chez nous, tels l’abbé Adrien Verrette, le père Henri d’Arles, soeur Solange Bernier et soeur Mary-Carmel Therriault. Ils ont su partager leurs connaissances sur la langue, l’histoire et l’héritage d’une collectivité dénommée franco-américaine. Grâce à eux, l’héritage des Franco-Américains a été préservé jusqu’à la quatrième sinon la cinquième génération et les résultats de l’assimilation furent éloignés.
