Abstract
Lorsqu’un souverain médiéval ordonne à ses vassaux de lui prêter serment de fidélité, la cérémonie qui s’ensuit donne l’occasion aux différents réseaux nobiliaires de se rassembler. Tel fut le cas en Provence en 1351 lorsque le roi et la reine de Naples, en difficulté dynastique, ont appelé leurs vassaux à participer à une campagne d’hommage. Les divers membres de la noblesse provençale se sont regroupés selon leurs différents réseaux afin de réaffirmer leur appartenance au groupe, mais aussi pour faire savoir certaines de leurs contestations politiques.
