Je me sens extrêmement honorée que l’on m’ait demandé de faire une présentation dans le cadre de la Conférence 2004 de l’ACIO sur un sujet qui me tient tant à coeur : « L’avenir des infirmières de pratique avancée (IPA) est-il assuré? Les IPA dans le contexte de l’oncologie ». Le domaine des soins infirmiers en oncologie est l’une de mes passions. Je suis persuadée que dans la vie, si l’on veut quelque chose, il faut y croire passionnément. Chères collègues, si je suis parmi vous ce soir, c’est en raison de ma passion insatiable envers les soins infirmiers et les soins de pratique avancée. Je lance le défi à chacune d’entre vous de trouver sa passion dans les soins infirmiers. Il n’est pas obligatoire que vous vous passionniez pour les soins de pratique avancée, mais je crois que nous avons la responsabilité de nous soutenir mutuellement dans nos activités souvent complexes.
