Studies on Temperature Influence on Oviposition and Development of Immature Stages of the Yam Beetle Dinoderus Porcellus Lesne. Coleoptera: Bostrichidae on Dried Yam Species
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Teneral adults of Dinoderus porcellus were raised in the laboratory and exposed to various temperature regimes 100, 150, 200, 300, 350 and 400 C respectively. Four dried yam species Dioscorea rotundata, Dioscorea alata, Dioscorea dumetorum and Dioscorea cayenensis were used, to determine the effect of temperature on oviposition and developmental stages of the insect. At 100C, there was no oviposition, at 150 C fewer eggs were laid. Oviposition increases with little variation as temperature increases from 200C 300C. There is reduction in the number of eggs laid at 350C , while zero oviposition was recorded at 400 C. Egg incubation ranges between 6 to 8 days and there were significance difference (P<0.05) in the developmental period of larva and no significance difference (P<0.05) at the pupal stage. However, developmental period was prolonged on Dioscorea cayenensis as temperature increases.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
