Abstract
Résumé Les théories traditionnelles du leadership ont été fortement marquées par la notion d’autorité, formelle ou informelle, considérée comme l’essence de la direction et du leadership. Le leader, c’est la personne qui est reconnue comme le fondateur ou le promoteur d’un groupe, ou qui occupe une fonction officielle d’autorité et de responsabilité dans une unité, ou encore qui a une influence marquante sur les personnes et sur l’organisation. Son style de leadership, sa manière de se comporter et de remplir son rôle, de conduire ses troupes, est donc étroitement lié à ce qu’il est comme personne, c’est-à-dire à son expérience, à sa façon de raisonner et d’exercer son jugement, à ses valeurs et, ultimement, à son être profond. De mon expérience professionnelle se sont dégagés quatre types de leaders : systématique, pragmatique, mythique et relationnel, qui amènent les dirigeants à adopter des modes de fonctionnement différents, lesquels correspondent à des formes d’organisations variées et peuvent entraîner des pathologies ou des problèmes particuliers.
