Abstract
Les travailleuses québécoises bénéficient de mesures de protection de la maternité qui se sont améliorées au fil des années. Cependant, l'application de ces mesures ne leur procure pas nécessairement la protection souhaitée. Certaines sont congédiées lorsqu'elles deviennent enceintes, d'autres voient leurs conditions de travail se détériorer. La recherche empirique présentée ici avait pour objectif d'approfondir les connaissances sur l'expérience de la conciliation du travail et de la grossesse. En ressort un écart marqué entre les mesures légales et la mentalité observée dans les milieux de travail qui régule l'application de ces mesures. Notre interprétation est que cet écart prend sa source dans la persistance d'une vision dichotomique de la production et de la reproduction.
