本報告は,LUKP 2,000 ADT/D以上生産したDFLS™(ダウンフローローソリッド)蒸解法についての操業経験及び,その経済的メリットについてである。2000年11月初めにAlberta―Pacific社では,既設の蒸解釜において,減産ロスの大きな3つの原因を減らす為,いくつかの短期及び長期にわたってDFLS™の操業トライアルを行った。過去Alberta―Pacific社では既設の蒸解釜において,不安定なチップコラムの移動という問題点をかかえていた。このチップコラム移動の不安定が,連続蒸解釜のチップレベル制御の困難性,ブローラインカッパ価のばらつき,ブローライン温度の変動という問題を引き起こしていた。このブローライン温度の変動が,ブローラインの洗浄器である大気型ディフューザーのバイパス化をもたらし,結果として洗浄効率の大きな低下をもたらしていた。これへの対策として導入したDFLS™蒸解法の操業改善と効果について報告する。
