Abstract

Cet article vise à informer de l'existence d'un collectif de recherche travaillant depuis 1974 en milieu universitaire, le Groupe de recherche pluridisciplinaire sur le développement régional de l'Est-du-Québec (GRIDEQ), et des orientations d'un programme de travaux pluridisciplinaires portant sur le développement régional et local des espaces urbains et ruraux régionaux et intégrant la problématique de la différenciation sexuelle et des rapports de sexes. Au fil des années, des efforts ont été faits pour reconceptualiser la notion de développement, interroger la complexité des réalités sociospatiales et mettre l'accent sur le rôle des actrices et des acteurs sociaux. Ce programme a aussi constitué un moyen d'appuyer durablement la recherche en sciences sociales dans l'Est-du-Québec, une région périphérique du Québec connaissant depuis longtemps des problèmes économiques et démographiques. Plusieurs formes de collaboration du collectif avec le milieu et avec les groupes de femmes sont aussi rappelées. Elles visaient notamment à répondre aux besoins des personnes appelées à participer aux nouvelles instances politico-territoriales de gestion publique du développement régional et local, des instances instituées dans toutes les régions du Québec. Les objets de quelques recherches en cours intégrées au volet «Femmes actrices de changement» sont également présentés. Certains enjeux, pour les femmes, de l'émergence de nouvelles formes de régulation et de coopération sociopolitiques sont enfin discutés.
