Abstract
Le groupe personnaliste français de L'Ordre Nouveau a joué un rôle capital dans la formation de Guy Frégault. Collégien dans les années trente, le futur historien de l'École de Montréal anima la cellule québécoise de cette aile « nietzschéenne » du mouvement personnaliste, moins connue que son pendant catholique d' Esprit . C'est de L'Ordre Nouveau que Frégault tira les éléments d'un discours critique bien à lui qu'il formula dans La Relève et L'Action Nationale , ainsi que dans sa correspondance avec le fondateur de L'Ordre Nouveau , Alexandre Marc. Cet article examine la réception du personnalisme de L'Ordre Nouveau au Québec, et son rôle dans la genèse intellectuelle du néo-nationalisme.
