La présente recherche vise à préciser les étapes qui doivent apparaître dans une séquence didactique en développement langagier lorsque le matériel didactique utilisé est le conte ou la comptine et lorsque les enfants sont en prématernelle. La méthodologie est celle d’une recherche-développement. Le cadre conceptuel établit les trois temps d’une séquence didactique, notamment la planification, la réalisation et l’intégration. Chacun de ces trois temps comprend des étapes bien déterminées. Dans la planification se trouvent les objectifs langagiers et la mise en situation. La réalisation comprend l’explication des mots et des expressions et la lecture interactive. L’intégration est le moment du retour sur les intentions d’écoute et sur les objectifs, le rappel, les activités de prolongement et le transfert des connaissances langagières. Les trois temps et les différentes étapes qui les composent ont subi trois mises à l’essai avec des enfants âgés de quatre ans. L’article se termine par quatre principes propres aux interventions des éducatrices en prématernelle et quelques pistes de recherche.
