Abstract
Résumé Le présent article envisage Hugo. Amour/Crime/Révolution d'André Brochu à la fois comme prolongement du travail critique de l'auteur sur la littérature québécoise et comme manifestation d'une appropriation de la littérature et de la nouvelle critique françaises. Brochu a d'ailleurs vu dans cet ouvrage l'aboutissement de ses recherches sur l'" imagination thématique et formelle - des textes et la réalisation de ses ambitions théoriques (relier l'étude du "champ thématique" à celle des "motifs poétiques", des "conceptions idéologiques" et des 'Structures narratives" complexes). Il s'agit ici de montrer que le Hugo représente un moment clé de l'itinéraire de Brochu, réalisant "en concentré" le programme que celui-ci n 'aura eu de cesse, tout au long des trente dernières années, de poser à l'horizon de la critique littéraire québécoise.
