Abstract
En reponse a Aziz Al-Azmet, l'A. souscrit au diagnostic de ce dernier quant aux symptomes de la crise que traverse la civilisation occidentale, mais diverge avec lui quant aux causes de cette crise. Dans ce debat, il reinterroge les themes que sont le role de la bourgeoisie dans l'avancement de cette civilisation, la xenophobie parmi les figures de la barbarie et la critique du post-modernisme
