Abstract
Les ateliers de théâtre-action se présentent comme un espace original d’observation de la mise en commun et de l’engagement dans l’action. Les participants qui pénètrent ces dispositifs sont, en effet, appelés à se coordonner sous un format tout à fait particulier qui en appelle à la confiance, au présentisme, mais aussi aux corps et énergies de chacun. À partir de la sociologie des régimes d’engagement de Laurent Thévenot (Thévenot, 2006) et d’observations empiriques récentes, sera ainsi éclairée une modalité particulière de l’engagement, que nous nommerons « engagement en présence ». Plus exactement, dans cet article, nous tenterons de prendre la mesure : 1) de mutations relatives au contexte sociohistorique et qui impactent sur l’intervention théâtrale contemporaine ; 2) de la manifestation actuelle d’une réalité empirique visant la formation d’un « être avec » ; 3) de la possibilité d’une intégration théorique de l’« engagement en présence » à une sociologie de l’action.
