La morale dans les relations internationaless Àl’heure du déclin de l’hégémonie occidentale et de l’entrée dans un monde multipolaire, le philosophe Tzvetan Todorov s’interroge sur les relations complexes entre morale et politique, deux notions que tout semble opposer. L’une s’en remet en effet aux valeurs et principes universels quand l’autre prône la culture du résultat et la défense de certains intérêts. Plus particulièrement, l’auteur s’interroge sur la place qu’a pu, ou que pourrait occuper la morale dans les relations internationales. Par une critique rationnelle des doctrines d’intervention militaire ou humanitaire et de ce qu’il nomme le « messianisme démocratique », l’auteur pointe les dangers d’une action politique qui se justifierait uniquement par des principes moraux.
