Identifiant de l'opération archéologique : 10222 Date de l'opération : 2009 (SD) 1 Les études menées dans les réseaux d'Orgnac par le laboratoire Edytem depuis 2004 ont permis de comprendre en partie la genèse et le fonctionnement des réseaux Orgnac-Issirac sur une grande échelle de temps.À une échelle temporelle plus réduite, les informations recélées par le cône d'éboulis n'étaient pas accessibles.De ce fait, et en vue de compléter les données manquantes de la salle Robert de Joly, un sondage a été effectué en 2009 sur ce cône.2Celui-ci a livré une quantité d'informations liées à l'érosion de surface, à la faune fréquentant le plateau, mais aussi aux activités humaines à travers le temps.Le puits et le cône sont indissociables et fonctionnent dans un système d' « interface ».
