Abstract
Depuis une vingtaine d’années, il se remarque en France une progression sensible de l’emploi au sein des associations sportives. À l’instar de l’ensemble du secteur associatif, des salariés prennent place aux côtés des bénévoles pour développer la structure associative. Au-delà des constats statistiques permettant de mettre en évidence le développement de l’activité salariée au sein des associations, cet article interroge les contours et la pertinence de ce processus. Il analyse aussi l’identité professionnelle des salariés des associations sportives françaises avec pour idée directrice que celle-ci se construit selon cette triple logique, professionnelle, sportive et bénévole, avec un équilibre mutuel mais fragile.
