Résumé Trou de mémoire d'Hubert Aquin peut profitablement se lire comme un exemple provocateur de bavardage littéraire. Ce roman s'adonne au bavardage en parlant du discours comme processus, créant par là un métadiscours qui se refuse à l'objectivation du discours en participant activement à son déploiement. La dynamique et l'énergie de ce roman se sentent parce que nous sommes obligés de recommencer infiniment ce que nous n'avons jamais terminé. Pris dans les oublis et l'agressivité du discours aquinien, le bavardage de Trou de mémoire touche non seulement à la production effrénée du langage, mais provoque avant tout un retournement spectaculaire du parler où les personnages qui parlent sont les principales victimes de leur parole.
