L’écriture ample, franche, extravertie du manuscrit qui occupe les pages suivantes est tout à fait représentative de son auteur, le Mauricien Malcolm de Chazal né en 1902 et décédé en 1981. Il n’a été que brièvement connu en France par le biais de deux œuvres publiées chez Gallimard en 1947 (Sens-Plastique) et en 1948 (La Vie Filtrée).
