Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Recent American Diabetes Association guidelines recommend selective screening for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) based on the presence of risk factors (1). Because there is a high incidence of GDM among certain ethnic groups, ethnicity is included as one of the risk factors during routine screening. Although Asians are included as a high-risk population, there are little data comparing selective testing based on risk factors with the universal 50-g glucose challenge as a means of screening for GDM in this group. Moreover, the risk factors associated with increased risk were largely derived from populations of European extraction, and there are few studies examining this in other populations. We have therefore conducted a study to assess whether the traditional risk factors for GDM apply to women of Asian origin and to determine whether the use of risk factors might be sufficient to select patients for testing. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
