No Canadian affiliation. An affiliation-only frame, the usual design, would never have seen this work. It is one of the works that make the case for inverting the frame.

Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The site of Châlucet (Saint-Jean-Ligoure, Haute-Vienne) occupies the crest and flanks of the point of a confluence. Over more than 500 meters in length, it presents the remains of two castral entities: the lower Châlucet, ancient castrum organized as a co-seigneury, has the form of an agglomeration of knights whose dwellings are concentrated in a half-hectare enclosure flanked by suburbs. Excavations conducted since 1998 have revealed several of these castral houses. The high Châlucet appears to have been an ensemble of the same type until 1270 when a new castle was implanted in its centre. Its constructer was a close counsellor to the kings of France, Géraud de Maulmont, and his fortified palace thus appears totally incoherent with the vernacular castral culture characterized by a strong degree of fragmentation of powers within the castra. Consequently, Châlucet juxtaposes two castral conceptions, one having preserved its vernacular dispositions, as they still functioned during the 13th to 15th centuries, the other introducing— during the last quarter of the 13th century— the notion of prestigious architecture.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
