Abstract
L’auteur s’interroge sur la valeur explicative de l’idée de société globale en contexte de société de droits au moment où l’économie se mondialise. Étudiant divers aspects de ce contexte sous le rapport entre souveraineté de l’État et souveraineté du marché, il attire l’attention sur l’émergence à travers l’expérience de la vie sociale d’un schème explicatif concurrent, l’idée de société virtuelle. Appuyé sur la notion d’effet pervers, empruntée à l’analyse de système, et sur celle de l’Autre généralisé, issue de l’étude de la socialisation, il suggère en conclusion comment l’interrogation initiale pourrait trouver réponse dans les pratiques de la morphologie sociale.
