Abstract
L’analyse des politiques publiques connaît depuis 1990 une entrée progressive dans l’africanisme. Ce développement s’accompagne cependant d’une controverse sur la pertinence de ce mode particulier d’étude de la gestion et de la régulation des sociétés pour le terrain africain : ce dernier symboliserait l’absence d’institutionnalisation du pouvoir et le désordre y serait un mode de régulation heuristiquement plus porteur. L’occasion est ici donnée de prendre parti en soulignant, au contraire, que cette approche enrichit considérablement l’africanisme politique.
