Abstract
Fragestellung: Da die Sensitivität des Radionuklid-Bildgebung sehr hoch ist (Picomole) glauben wir, dass die Positronen Emissions Tomografie (PET) die Modalität sein wird, die erstmals die nicht invasive Bestimmung der ß-Zell Masse (BZM) des Pankreas in vivo erlauben wird. Bisher scheiterte das Vorhaben am Fehlen eines ß-Zell spezifischen Kontrastmittels. Die Anforderungen diesbezüglich sind aufgrund des ungünstigen Massenverhältnisses von ß- zu nicht von ß-Zellen sehr hoch (humane ß-Zellen erkennen, hohe ß-Zell Spezifität, schnelle Elimination, keine Toxizität, proportional zur BZM).
