Abstract
Dans la profusion des premiers discours sur les techniques, il est bien souvent difficile de distinguer quelle est la part de l’imaginaire et des projections idéologiques. Dans cet article, nous avons choisi de nous intéresser aux premiers discours sur l’Internet. Pour approcher plus justement les discours contemporains sur la technique, nous les mettrons en perspective, les confronterons aux discours passés sur les techniques de communication à distance. Le XIXe siècle, siècle souvent défini comme « fondateur » des techniques de télécommunication sera notre point de repère pour appréhender les premiers discours de presse français sur le réseau Internet.
