Abstract
Depuis une quinzaine d'années, les professionnels des médias sont confrontés à une augmentation du nombre de procès en matière de droit à l'image intentés par des personnes anonymes identifiables sur des photographies de presse. Face à cette multitude de conflits judiciaires, comment réagissent les photographes et les responsables de la photographie au sein des publications et des agences ? Modifient-ils leurs pratiques professionnelles ? Après s'être intéressée à la question juridique en recensant la jurisprudence relatée dans la revue Légipresse au cours des quinze dernières années, Sylvie Laval aborde le discours professionnel à la lumière de documents et d'entretiens de professionnels de la photo à l'AFP et à Libération , discours qu'elle analyse au regard d'un corpus de photographies de Libération représentant des victimes dans des événements dramatiques survenus depuis 1986.
