Abstract
L'article présente les principaux résultats d'une enquête diagnostique portant sur les difficultés pédagogiques dans les classes de français au niveau collégial. Analysant une série d'entrevues de groupe dans une perspective de rôles, l'auteur met en évidence les principes d'action sous-jacents au rôle prédominant chez les étudiants : le conformisme. L'explication de la définition de la situation sous-jacente à ce rôle amène à certaines hypothèses explicatives où interviennent les transformations globales du système d'éducation québécois.
