Lautman synthétise dans ce rapport (1935) quelques idées centrales qui seront par la suite développées dans ses Thèses (1935-37). Il s’agit d’un manuscrit inédit, qui semble être le premier texte scientifique du jeune philosophe. Lautman étudie le local et le global suivant Galois, Riemann, Hilbert et Cartan, et propose une hypothèse sur les rapports structurels généraux du local et du global, qui préfigure l’essor de la théorie des faisceaux, laquelle apparaîtra une dizaine d’années après.
