LNG蓄冷システムを適用したボイルオフガス再液化プロセスの設計・操作法を開発するために,フィンチューブ型潜熱蓄冷装置に充填した蓄冷材(Phase-Change Material)の凝固・融解過程に関する数値シミュレーション解析を行った.本解析では,前報で報告したパイロットプラント実験結果に基づき,厚肉円筒モデルを採用してフィンチューブ周りの伝熱特性と相変化挙動を表すとともに実プラント操作に適用するために計算方法の簡略化を図った.数値解析による計算結果は実験結果と良い一致を示し,本モデルは実用プラントと同規模の伝熱管長を有する蓄冷装置の性能を精度良く推測できることがわかった.この結果,本モデルは蓄冷装置を含むプロセス設計や運転に有効に活用することができる.また,管内二相流体の凝縮域の長さが蓄冷装置のフィンチューブ全長を超えると,液化時間や放冷割合が急激に低下することがわかった.
