Eben war es noch da …︁: Mithilfe eines Miniaturreaktors, in dem ein kleiner Teil einer Palladiumfolie gezielt erhitzt werden kann, wurden die Veränderungen der Katalysatoroberfläche während der Suzuki-Miyaura-Kupplung beobachtet. Das Pd löste sich nur in der erhitzten Zone und nur in Gegenwart von Aryliodid auf, während die Ablagerung von Pd vorzugsweise in unmittelbarer Nähe der erhitzten Zone stattfand. SEM- und XPS-Untersuchungen liefern Informationen über den Zustand der Pd-Oberfläche vor und nach der Reaktion.
